Operating an FM radio transmitter in the United States without a license or waiver from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is a violation of Federal Law and may result in a fine, imprisonment or both. Currently, the FCC has started accepting LPFM license applications. Operating a radio station without a license may endanger your ability to obtain a LPFM license.

The JSMR was signed by a diverse group of organizations and individuals. The JSMR represents the negotiated common ground for major elements of the Micro Broadcasting Movement. |
