This site is a comprehensive list of the following: diseases and disorders, health occupations, health policy, history, biology, medical information, operative surgery, philosophy (ethics), therapeutics, academic organizations, articles, collections, commercial organizations, directories, discussion groups, events, governments organizations, guides, non-profit organizations, organizations, periodical, product and device description. This is an amazing site with a whole truckload of information.
HealthAtoZ. Sponsored by Medical Network, Inc., HealthAtoZ "is a comprehensive, well-integrated health and medical resource developed by healthcare professionals. HealthAtoZ's aim is to partner with consumers so that every individual and family can better manage their health. HealthAtoZ includes a suite of Web sites, interactive tools, community tools, and information centers."
Health Touch. This site includes a table of contents for various health issues. When you double click on the subject it provides drug information, pharmacy searches, product info, health resources, and health resources. This is a very detailed site with a lot of information buried in the site.
Healthfinder. "Healthfinder is a gateway consumer health and human services information web site from the United States government. Healthfinder can lead you to selected online publications, clearinghouses, databases, web sites, and support and self-help groups, as well as the government agencies and not-for-profit organizations that produce reliable information for the public. Launched in April 1997, healthfinder served Internet users over 1.7 million times in its first year online."
The Mental Health Network. This site does not provide any information on mental health, but does offer information on mental health professionals by location or by name.
Newsfile. "NewsRx.net contains health, science, and medical news prepared by medical journalists and science editors. Where appropriate, information contained on this site will be supported by clear references to source data and a general or specific date attribution, as well as contact addresses for further information. . . . NewsRx.net is not a static site. It is dynamic and changes each week."
The WWW Virtual Library: Men's Health Issues This site is for men's health. It is a world wide web virtual library of men's health issues. It covers everything from articles, studies, legislation's, commercial sites, diet, HIV, and Mental Health (Sex Addiction and Suicide). The site is fairly basic, but does contain useful information.
Yahoo/Women's Health. Over 100 links through Yahoo to all sorts of issues regarding women's health.
